Gill’s Plaice is a specialist fish mongers in Aberdovey, and has recently opened a new shop and unit in Tywyn, selling fish caught inCardigan Bay. Taking over the established business in 2007, Gill's Plaice not only supply to the general public and catering companies but also local pubs and hotels. According to Gill, "The Gill’s plaice team are fully trained in selecting and purchasing all of our fish to make sure that we only supply the best. We are experts in handling, gutting, boning, filleting, displaying and merchandising our fish. We are the only fishmonger in the area licensed to buy fish fresh off the quayside every day which means we are supplying our customers with local crab, shrimp lobster, bass, mullet mackerel, Turbot, Flounder, and Huss directly from the fishing boats."
